Frequently asked questions

Answers about QR codes, analytics, exports and subscription – no account required.

A dynamic QR code points to a fixed redirect URL (e.g. qr-flow.eu/r/abc123). You can change the target URL anytime – the printed code stays the same. Update landing pages, campaigns or event links without reprinting.
A QR code produces a scannable image (PNG, SVG, PDF) with an embedded redirect URL – ideal for print and packaging. A URL redirect is only the short link (e.g. qr-flow.eu/r/abc123) without a QR image: perfect for app links, email signatures or deep links. Both are dynamic, tracked and can be changed anytime.
Besides URLs you can create QR codes for email, phone, WhatsApp, location/maps, social media profiles, vCard, WiFi and calendar events. vCard, WiFi and calendar are static only; all other types also work dynamically with analytics.
A static QR code encodes URL or text directly in the code. Content cannot be changed after creation. Static codes are not tracked by QRFlow – ideal for one-off business cards, WiFi or fixed links without analytics.
Open the QR code under QR Codes → Details. Use Pause campaign to stop redirects. Visitors see a notice page; scans are no longer counted. Use Resume campaign to enable redirects again.
PNG (default, print & web), WebP (smaller file size), SVG (vector; QR codes with logo embed the logo as an image) and PDF (for documents and handouts). Choose the format on the detail page before download.
Yes. Each scan stores IP address, device type, browser, approximate location (GeoIP) and referrer. Data is used for campaign analysis and export.
On the QR code detail page in the Analytics section you can export scans as CSV, Excel (.xlsx) or PDF. Choose the time range (7, 30 or 90 days) before export.
Without active Premium scans are still recorded but visitors are not redirected. You receive email notifications for blocked scans. After upgrade or renewal redirects work again.
Yes. When creating you can upload a logo. Error correction is automatically raised to level H for readability. Logo size is limited to keep the code scannable.
Redirected means the visitor was sent to the target URL (Premium active, campaign not paused). Blocked means e.g. expired Premium or paused campaign – the scan was still logged.
On Premium you can define rules per QR code or URL redirect: e.g. route by device (iOS/Android), language, scan count or time window to different targets. The applied rule appears in analytics and exports.
Forms and surveys get their own public link at /f/… – independent of QR codes. Optionally link a QR code to the form. Responses, opens and optional sentiment analysis are in the detail view under Results.
On Premium, security-relevant account actions are logged: logins, creation, updates and deletion of QR codes and URL redirects (shown separately), webhooks, campaign pauses and billing changes. Export as CSV, Excel or PDF under Audit log.
Yes. Append UTM parameters to the redirect URL (e.g. /r/abc123?utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=expo2026). Source, medium and campaign appear in analytics, the campaign dashboard and exports – ideal for evaluating print, email and social channels.
On Premium, go to API docs → Webhooks, enter an HTTPS endpoint URL and select the events you need (e.g. scan.created, form.submission_created, campaign.goal_reached). Each payload is signed with HMAC-SHA256 (X-QRFlow-Signature header) – verification is described in the API docs.
Yes. With your personal API key you can create, update, list and delete QR codes, fetch analytics and manage resources programmatically. Authenticate via X-API-Key or Bearer token. OpenAPI spec and code examples are under API docs.
New accounts get 7 days of Premium with full features – no credit card required. After that you can stay on the free tier (redirects limited) or subscribe to Premium from €29.99/month or €341.90/year. Enterprise plans with custom scope on request.
In Brand Kit you set default colours, logo and QR style for your brand. When creating new QR codes you can apply these defaults – keeping print materials and campaigns visually consistent. Brand Kit changes only affect new codes, not existing ones.
Folders group QR codes and URL redirects in the list view – e.g. by client, event or product line. Campaigns combine multiple items for shared reporting: scans, UTM sources and goals in the campaign dashboard. One item can belong to one folder and multiple campaigns.
On Premium you define scan or response goals per campaign. Email and webhook alerts fire when goals are reached or missed. Weekly PDF or Excel reports can also be sent automatically by email – configure under Campaigns → Goals & alerts.
Yes. Besides QR codes, QRFlow supports barcodes such as Code128, EAN-13 and more. Barcodes suit inventory, ticketing or product labelling. Download as PNG, SVG or PDF – dynamic barcodes with redirect and tracking like QR codes.
On the form detail page under Results, export responses as CSV, Excel or PDF. Optional sentiment analysis for free-text fields. Opens and completion rate are shown separately in the form analytics.
Switch the UI language via the language selector in the navigation. System emails (trial reminders, scan notifications, campaign reports) follow the email language set in your profile – selectable at registration and changeable anytime under Profile.
Forms suit structured input – often on one page: contact, registration, lead capture or SEPA mandate. Surveys are optimised for feedback: wizard mode by default (step by step), rating fields, scales and optional sentiment on free text. Both have their own link at /f/… and can be distributed via QR code.
QRFlow offers 18 field types in five categories: text & numbers (short text, long text, email, phone, date, time, number), choice & rating (dropdown, radio, checkbox, star rating), address (street, postal code), payment (IBAN, BIC, SEPA mandate) and advanced (file upload, digital signature). Per field you can set required, help text and validation (e.g. email format, postal code).
Typical use cases: contact and callback requests, newsletter sign-up, event registration with date/time, billing and shipping address, SEPA direct debit mandates for clubs or subscriptions, consent with checkboxes, contracts with digital signature, file upload for applications or damage photos. At trade shows via QR or by link in email – all responses centrally in QRFlow.
Surveys fit customer satisfaction (CSAT), Net Promoter Score (NPS), product and service feedback, event or workshop ratings, on-site booth feedback and short team pulse checks. Combine rating scales, multiple choice and open questions – sentiment analysis helps prioritise critical free-text responses faster.
In wizard mode you split the form into pages (panels) – each page is a step with its own title and optional description. Visitors see progress (e.g. Question 2 of 5) and complete the survey step by step. That lowers drop-off on longer questionnaires. Surveys have wizard mode on by default; forms can enable it optionally.
For long-text fields QRFlow automatically classifies answers by tone: positive, neutral or negative. With many open responses you spot critical feedback without reading every answer. Classification appears in results and exports – especially useful after events, in customer service or for product feedback.
Yes, on Premium you maintain title, description, field labels and thank-you message in multiple languages. Visitors choose the language before filling in. Serve international trade shows, multilingual locations or global campaigns with one form – no separate links per language.
QRFlow uses layered bot protection: an invisible honeypot field, configurable minimum time before submit, per-IP hourly rate limits and session checks. Settings are adjustable per form. Public links (/f/…) stay smooth for real users – without disruptive captchas.
Each form has its own link (/f/your-slug). In the editor create a dynamic QR code pointing to that URL – ideal for roll-ups, flyers or table stands. Assign form and QR code to the same campaign: opens, completions and scans are evaluated together in the campaign dashboard.
New forms and surveys start as drafts. Under settings enable Publish – then the public link is live. Active Premium or trial is required. Without publishing or with an expired plan visitors see a notice page; submitted responses remain stored.
On Premium set up an HTTPS endpoint under API docs → Webhooks and subscribe to form.submission_created. Each new response sends a JSON event with all field values, IP, language and optional sentiment – for CRM import (e.g. HubSpot), Slack alerts or n8n workflows. Or export responses manually as CSV, Excel or PDF.
QR codes produce a scannable image for print and packaging. URL redirects are short links only – ideal for app stores, emails or deep links. Both are dynamic and tracked in QRFlow.
Yes. Append UTM parameters to your redirect URL (e.g. /r/abc?utm_source=newsletter) – they appear in analytics and exports.
Yes. On Premium you get signed webhooks for scans (scan.created, scan.redirected, scan.blocked) and QR changes (qr.created, qr.updated, qr.paused …). Configure them in the API docs in the dashboard.
Yes. Create, update and delete QR codes programmatically. Fetch analytics via API key in the dashboard – documented in the API docs.
7 days Premium free, then free tier or Premium from €29.99/month. Enterprise plans on request.
